1And the Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.

2But He answered and said to them, “[When evening comes, you say, ‘Fair weather, for the sky is red’;]

3[and in the morning, ‘Stormy today, for the sky is red and overcast.’ You know how to discern the face of the sky, but can you not discern the signs of the times?]𝔐 TR

4An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.
