10And the disciples asked Him, saying, “Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
καὶ ἐπηρώτησαν αὐτὸν οἱ μαθηταὶ λέγοντες· Τί οὖν οἱ γραμματεῖς λέγουσιν ὅτι Ἠλίαν δεῖ ἐλθεῖν πρῶτον;
11And He answered and said, “Elijah is indeed coming and will restore all things.
12But I say to you that Elijah has already come, and they did not know him, but did to him whatever they wished. So also the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”
13Then the disciples understood that He had spoken to them about John the Baptist.

12ὁ δὲ ἔφη αὐτοῖς· Ἠλίας μὲν ἐλθὼν πρῶτον ἀποκαθιστάνει πάντα, καὶ πῶς γέγραπται ἐπὶ τὸν υἱὸν τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἵνα πολλὰ πάθῃ καὶ ἐξουδενηθῇ;
